This revised Special Issue Brief examines a host of issues related to seniors housing management companies and fees. Among other things, the report looks at typical management services provided; management fee compensation, including special incentive fee compensation; expenses; and penalties for sub-par performance. The report also examines the changing role of the management company concept, and includes a discussion of sale/lease-back and sale/manage-back arrangements; the public company perspective; and explores management company valuation.
